I had a really good night last Friday night at The NTDF Fundraiser at Kingstreet Club in North Shields last Friday night it was good fun. I really enjoyed seeing The Baldy Holly Band perform too. I had a really good time and a really good night with Jill Marc Billy and Amanda and everybody else from The NTDF.

We are pleased to announce we were successful with our application to the Community Fund. This money covers a two year period permitting better budgeting and longer term planning.

All our volunteers are over-the-moon with this result, which is a sign that they care passionately about all our disabled and older wanting to understand how to access digital support.

What a fantastic beginning to 2024 for NTDF, volunteers, staff and those the organisation serve across North Tyneside.

These are some of my favourite biscuits I love eating sometimes. Their are Walkers Scottish Shortbread Biscuits. I have loved them since I was little and still love them now I think their are very nice.

Today we discovered we had been awarded support from the Coronavirus Community Support Fund (National Lottery Community Fund) made possible from Government. Increasing help to our Digital Befrienders is critical towards enabling our beneficiaries to overcome the barriers that thwart getting online, especially in the present climate where many socially essential services are only accessible online in order to accommodate the new working practices. Many older and disabled residents experience digital poverty, lack confidence or do not have basic digital skills to maintain their independence in the home. Our Digital Befrienders are there to help guide and facilitate individuals to adopt a take control attitude while acting as a listening post. There overall aim is to ensure you feel safe and secure online, while creating traditional community connections to tackle social isolation.
