This is one of my favourite drama’s I am going to watch on itvx again sometime where in the series The Husband John fakes his own death and him and his wife go to prison for it. It’s The Thief, His Wife And The Canoe. They’re four episode’s of it on itvx all on for 46 minutes.

It would appear that the husband was a manipulator who controlled his wife. A familiar story these days.
