This is Whitley Bay Train Station in the 60’s from before I was born which is now called and better known now as Whitley Bay Metro Station. It was years before it turned in to Whitley Bay Metro Station and turned it in to The Metro Station In Whitley Bay but back then in the 1960’s it was always a Train Station and called Whitley Bay Train Station. As you can see it looks a lot different to how it is now and how it looks like now and I find this really interesting to.
The train was, I understand, electric, which I suppose precedes current petrol? Seems ironic that we ditched electric for diesel!

Maybe 70’s and then electrified in the 80’s then back to petrol again. Very confusing.
