This is what Whitley Bay Spanish City use to look like in the 80s and throughout the 1980s back then before I was born. It is a lot different to what it looks like now compared to back then in those days I find it all really interesting on how it was like in them days.

Yh I see Bob I see the road has to the road looks very red the roads must of been like that that in dose days before they were black wiry white lines is that right.

I recall some roads in the 80’s covered in red tarmac. Not sure what the significance of the colour is, if any!

Yh I noticed that on the picture Bob I’ve also seen roads like that before at other places I mean those kind of red roads at other places a few times.
