The Emperor penguin pairs for life.The parents go to sea /ocean for food for weeks at a time. They are very sociable animals they sometimes help each other by babysitting each others chick, if they need to.

Antartica is apparently the driest, windiest. Has two seasons, no time zones. Pretty hostile for most creatures. Penguins are a hardy lot!
