This is what Newcastle use to look like in the 60’s and 1970’s before I was born. This is what it was always like back then throughout the 1960’s and 70’s a lot different to what it looks like now and what it is like now.

I had a really good time on holiday with my Mum we stayed in a really nice Hotel and went down to The Beach with my Mum and went in The Sea and swam in The Sea a lot. We had two swimming pools outside our The Hotel. The Food was very nice too I really enjoyed The Beer and Cocktails were really very nice too. I enjoyed sunbathing on The Beach and going in The Sea The Entertainment at night time was really good too. I also enjoyed having a pint on The Balcony at night before I went to bed and went to sleep.

This is Whitley Bay Beach and Whitley Bay Spanish City in the 1970’s before I was born. It was like this throughout the 70’s for a long time.

These are my Grandma’s Bathmat’s that I am having I am keeping them to remember her by. there’re another two things for me to remember my Grandma by. I am keeping one in my Bedroom at my Mum’s House and the other one at mine and my Dad and Bern’s House. I love them and I think there’re really nice and make me think of my Grandma all the time.

The people of North Shields are working as a team to host a year of celebrations for the town’s 800th anniversary. In 2025 it will be 800 years anniversary. In 2025 it will be 800 years since a small village made up of simple huts – called shiels – was founded on the north bank of the Tyne where the Fish Quay stands today. North Shields 800 will bring everyone together to enjoy a calendar of exciting events celebrating North Shields past, present and future. It will include a spectacular parade of a sail and a blessing of the fishing fleet, a parade along the Fish Quay, exhibitions, street art murals, heritage projects and creative collaborations. It will bring performing arts to the streets, stage events at local venues and capture and record memories of the town in years gone by. North Shields 800 is being shaped and directed by a committee made up of local people, organisations and charities.

I use to love reading Mr Men Books when I was little I use to love reading them all the time. I use to find them really interesting and very funny funny to their use to be one of my favourite books to read when I was younger.

I really enjoyed having a walk out down The Seafront last Thursday with my Dad. We walked from Monkseaton all the way down The Seafront past The Rendezvous Cafe up to the main road. Then got the bus from across the road from Whitley Bay Cemetery all the way to Whitley Bay Town Centre. Stayed on all the way up to Whitley Bay Ice Rink and then got off the bus and walked home from The Ice Rink. We have been doing that the last few weeks me and my Dad have and it has been a good thing we have got in to the last few months since the back end of last year. It means we have been getting exercise and and getting the bus to.
