This is The Queens Head Hotel Pub in Kelso we went to for dinner the two nights we were in Kelso last Thursday night and last Friday night. I thought it was a very nice Pub it was handy because it was just across the road from our Hotel we were staying at so all we had to do was walk out of our Hotel and walk straight across the road and walk straight in The Pub. I really liked it and The Scottish Lager in The Queens Head Hotel Pub was very nice too.
Been in their a few times over the years. A nice and quiet place to eat.

If I recall correctly the pub dates back to the 1840’s?

Most likely a coaching house. This is where stage coaches would stop overnight to let travellers rest up.
